ALINK3D doesn't create 3D models from photos itself. Make a model with an AI service such as Tripo or Meshy, download it as GLB and upload it here — you can then edit it and share it by link or embed right away, with no credits.
How to import
- Create a 3D model from product photos in an AI service such as Tripo or Meshy. Check each service for its sign-up and pricing.
- Download the result in GLB format. If you download glTF, all textures must be embedded in the file.
- On the dashboard, open New project → Import AI 3D and upload the GLB file.
- Click Create project and the editor opens right away. No credits are used.
On every plan you can upload up to 50MB per file. If the file is larger, reduce the polygon count or texture resolution in the AI service and download it again.
Getting good results
Photos you upload to an AI service work best when taken like this:
- Plain background: place the product in front of a white wall or plain cloth.
- The whole product in frame: leave some space so no edges are cut off.
- Even lighting: avoid hard shadows or light from only one side.
- Several angles: photos from the front, side, back and top help services that accept multiple photos estimate the shape better.
Transparent or highly reflective surfaces such as glass and mirrors, and very thin parts such as fine wire, tend to give poor results.
Good to know
- AI-made models estimate shape from photos, so dimensions may not be accurate. Don't use them as a basis for design or manufacturing.
- AI models are usually a single solid piece, so you can't create explode or assembly step animations. Rotating, zooming, colors, backgrounds and sharing all work as usual. Apply the explode template
- To find out whether you can use an external service's output commercially, check that service's terms.
- Your photos aren't sent to ALINK3D — only to the AI service. Photos uploaded to an AI service are handled under that service's privacy policy.
- If you need precise geometry and part structure, upload a CAD file (STEP, IGES). Supported file formats
