With 3D on a product page, customers can rotate and inspect the product themselves. There are two ways to add it, depending on what your store's page editor allows.
Option 1: Put the 3D viewer inside the page (Pro and above)
Use this if your product page editor lets you add HTML directly and allows iframes.
- In the editor, click Share and set Who can view to Anyone with the link.
- On the Embed on a website tab, keep the width at 100% and set the height. Around 400–480px works well on phones too.
- Click Copy code, paste it into the HTML block of your product page editor, and save.
- Open the product page on a computer and on a phone to check that the viewer appears.
For more settings, see Embed the 3D viewer on your website.
Option 2: Link to a "View in 3D" page (all plans)
If your editor blocks iframes or only allows images and text, add the share link to the product page.
- In the editor, click Share and set Who can view to Anyone with the link.
- Click Copy link.
- Connect the copied link to a button or image on the product page — for example, "Rotate this product in 3D".
When customers click the link, the 3D model opens on a new page without signing in, and they can rotate and zoom with their fingers on phones too.
Make it look its best
- If you have an explode animation, turn on Show step controls so customers can go through the steps. You can also choose Autoplay on open.
- Hide internal parts that don't need to be shown, and recolor parts you want to highlight. Part colors and hiding
- Large assemblies open faster on phones when converted with Lightest. Choose an optimization level
- The viewer shows an ALINK3D mark. On the Business plan, you can turn on Hide ALINK3D watermark.
Things to check
- With Workspace members only or Password protected, customers can't view it right away. Use Anyone with the link for product pages.
- If you regenerate the link, the old link or code on your product page stops working. Replace it with the new one.
